story line question

(may contain spoilers, not huge ones or anything) ok, so I'm at the part in the game where I went to get the Mage but he got kidnapped or whatever, but my question is, is this the whole story line? Just trying to recuit 3 heroes? And get revenge on lucien? Or is there alot more story after that? Because pm made a huge deal about this great story, but so far it sucks.

All I really need is a yes or no answer. Elaborate if you want but please no spoilers.

The "whole" story is all the side quests and the main quests.
