Since a large amount of help and information is avalible on the internet does the Guide have a distinct advantage over this such as detailed maps of keys, chest or guides to all the wepons and so on. Or if not can anyone recommend any websites which do provide this or may do in the near future :)

Chances are you've already been to this site. Still, a strategy guide is cheap and doesn't hurt to have.

No it's a total waste of money unless u want toilet reading material. I have the collectors edition one and followed instructions where to find the gold key in chillsbreath cavern via mistpeak and the guide told me the wrong cave entrance to go in....i went online after 20mins of running around in the wrong cave only to realize that i wasted time and money on a guide that has wrong info. You would think that they double check the info before printing the guide and selling it to the masses.

Bottom line the guide is a waste, the internet is faster and is more reliable

If your looking for visuals and (sometimes) good writing, go for the guide. If you just want to know the hows, wheres, whens, and who's, then stick with the internet.

i think ill give it a miss, cheers guys :) found a nice app for £0.63 on android market which is effectivly a walkthrough

Certain games I buy the Strategy Guides, Fable II Red Dead Redemption as the art and reading is very good. Makes for a nice little set on the shelves with the games next to them.

I like my little nick nacks for games on my shelves.

i have the limited edition guide and i am happy with it. maps of every area in the back as well as mini-descriptions of where books, keys, gnomes, etc are found. also concept art in the back. nice thing about a guide over the internet is that a)its always available (even when you are having issues with the web) and b)most sites don't have the maps and other visuals. a forum might be able to direct you to something if the book is unclear, but some people (like me) are very visual and i do better with maps. ultimately, it depends on your play style :)
