Suggestions for the game developers?

Just curious what people think could be expanded in Fable 2.
-Make the Co-op system more independent to the point like WOW because the 2 people 1 screen thing gets a little chaotic at times.
-Allow us to co-op with our original character!

Have one server with all characters from all worlds

-This would be really cool, I have never played World of Warcraft but this aspect of the game would be really cool to me to be able to interact this way.

Weapons
-Maybe new weapons or armor would be sweet, like the old school armor/weapons, however Fable 2 does demonstrate the "time period" being set 500 years from the old fable.

Anyone else? Did you guys get the seasons to work?

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

Okay, if you post this here it wont get anywhere, post it on the LHC boards.

1. You mean seperate screens? I agree.
2. I agree.

3. No, only one server is needed.

4. No, you obviously don't understand, everyone would be wearing the same things for there level if it had a armor rating and PM didn't want that.

5. I don't even think there are seasons, are there? PM promised.

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

I think there are seasons, my leaves are turning red and somebody else said they saw fall and spring (but no winter?) but they just seem to move slower than a fat man without pizza.

-I would like to see more clothes, I do agree with some of the complainers that there aren't enough clothes...then again I haven't seen all there is to see so maybe I'll change my mind

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

I wouldnt call us complainers, I would call us concerned patrons. Would you buy a car if the wheels were defective? "Yeah this is the 09 camaro it has 300 hspwr warmed seats 6 cd disk changer and subwoofer, but the rubber on the wheels is a little brittle so be careful turning and parking and accelerating and well driving, but enjoy the beauty of it" Basically its beautiful and it runs, its feels great to be in but it has those problems that you just cant ignore. Although the Limited content disk kind of explains it, they had like 350,000 bugs to fix and they have like 30 or so known by us and maybe some more we havent seen? Thats not bad. But Im sure the patches in the future will remedy this problem as I have posted before.

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

I have to say I am dissapointed in the game, wont list all my reasons here. But what I will say here is that if I tried this game for the first time without every playing fable 1 (which is excellent) I would likely by now have lost interest and sold it. Only the goodness of fable 1 is keeping me interested.

Yeah armor. Pretty disappointing with no armor.

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

Steam you're not a complainer but there are a few complainers on these forums. Funny enough, most of them signed up after the game was released, presumably to complain.

There aren't many of those though...most of what I would originally have called a complainer ARE more like what you described, which was well put btw. :)

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

Thank you tym, I pride myself in my analogies. Yeah there are a lot of complainers most of which ive never seen. But let not forget thank beautiful downloadable content button on the intro screen, Ka- ching.

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

yea, one server for everyones orb = lag and constant crashing, which is why mmorpg games have multiple servers.

even with multiple servers, just the cluttered mess of orbs everywhere would just get annoying because the world is quite small.

They should have done more with the ending, it was pretty lame. actually the entire last quest was lame. But thats the least of my complaints.

Multiplayer is the major issue. They should have it set to where those who are currently still in the story quests, for their guests to be henchmen. And if you join the person who is finished their quests (completed the story) to be able to bring their hero into the world.

but in a sense, i can understand why they made the guest so useless. because if your friend is in the game, and they have complete freedom like you have in your own game but in their world, it would just mess up their world because then you can teleport all around the world, find his items he hasnt found yet, etc...but they could also include the taking of items in the safety-mode

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

I was kind of hoping multiplayer would be separate screens with some sort of limited range...like, at most the entire level you're currently in, maybe a certain amount of yards or something...but maybe that was difficult to do? I don't know anything about the programming world so...x.x

Re: Suggestions for the game developers?

after playing this for a while it is clear the fighting has been put on a backburner in this game. So far I have had to do very little fighting and I see the levelling up is somewhat dumbed down from fable 1.

toughness is now health and there is nothing to replace the old toughness.
so far any enemies I fight dont block or anything although I guess later in game they may start to do that.
far less spells, a big boo boo, all the cool ones like beserk and physical shield gone, apperently PM's reasoning is he didnt want spells to complement melee, only spells for mage.

The sound of simply drawing out your sword and swinging it is cheap, the sound in fable 1 was better, same with bow only the gun sounds like I would expect it to.

what happened to the zooming in zooming out?
no hotkeys assigning stuff to dpad controls.
I defenitly prefer the old controls for fighting in particurly magic.

To me it seems less emphasis in the fighting side of the game and more on your role as a citizen, as I havent finished the game I wont have a final conclusion on this yet but so far fable1 is ahead for me.

The graphics I am in 2 minds, some stuff like the outside of buildings and streets has had a lot of effort put into it, the graphics are less cartoony looking and the game in my opinion as someone else pointed out is aimed at older gamers than fable 1. Alot of stuff is too hard to make out in the game as a result of the higher resolution and I am dissapointed to say I have also already had a game freeze. Plus some occurances of not been able to move my character.
