The Fable Forums

This is just a question that i want to know for later in the future.

Do YOU ever think these forums will shut down?

I mean yes they are booming have 1000 members and counting but after fable 2 comes out and we talk about it for a long time in about 10 years do you think we'll not have anything to post about anymore?

and alot of members will start getting older and when your 40-50 i don't think your gonna be playing video games....

I will love video games, and fable forever. Just like I love my sega games. and so on.

I think with online forums there is always the opportunity to evolve accordingly - should they release a Fable 3 or something then we will adapt to encompass it. So long as people are still interested in discussing the games we cover, then we will be here. Unless we all die in a freak dump truck accident or something first...

Eventually Yes but I think it will be some time to come

1. There is still a lot of posts/question about the original fable and TLC
2. There will be even more questions when Fable 2 comes out
3. Lionhead has a link to this forum from their site

And besides, we could always sell the forum when you lot have gotten bored and left us and make a fortune. They're like the online version of real estate y'know...

Depends. More often than not, forums do die out. It is true. Either because of loss of interest for the forum theme (for example if someone 20 years ago made a forum on Wario for the Gameboy Classic), or if the administratos/moderators start to loose track in the longrun like Egomaniacs did 4 years ago.

Mostly though, a forum will stay togather if the community gets to know each other better and become a sort of 'forum friends'. If people come and go, it is hard to maintain a constant balance considering the needs and likings of each individual member.

So in conclusion... it is hard to say. I dont think you should worry about this forum as of now as I would say it is growing with quite a boost and as mentioned, Fable 2 is still a long time forth and if it does come out to be a success as I am quite sure it will, there will definately be sequels to start talking about.

I've thought of something like this before. But mine mainly included Steve becoming paralyzed from a spider bite and Andy finally getting some responsibilities besides gaming and drinking. They make me ruler of the forums and I live out the rest of my days as King of ProjectEgo. But I guess some dreams may never come true.... *sigh*....

Maybe its more of a fantasy....
