The frustration of zoom-in's

I suppose it's no secret that guns are somewhat overpowered in Fable II. I mean, as awesome as the battle system is-- why run up to a guy and spend all that time going man to man with him when you can just head shot him for an instant kill and move on with your life? Well, I suppose someone might actually melee fight for fun, but I'm talking practical purposes here.

I prefer to shoot guys. That's just how I like to fight in this game. The Daichi on my back? A decoration, nothing more. I never use it. I kind of wish I didn't have to wear it all.

ANYWAY, now that I've got that said-- I would like to vent a little about the utter bullcrap of the occasional (seemingly random) extreme zoom-ins when I head shot someone. Yes. It was cool the first couple of times. Now it's just annoying. It sends the camera a million miles away and disorients the flark out of me, especially when it happens several times in a row. In the time it takes for the camera to zip all the way back to my character and do a dizzy whirling motion before centering again, I usually get clocked in the face by an axe or flattened by a Troll. It's very frustrating and it happens A LOT.

Surely other people have experienced the profound irritation of this?

Is there a way to turn it off? Whose idea was the zoom-in? Grah! So annoying! :realmad:

Re: The frustration of zoom-in's

I understand the whole head shot thing being over powered.
There is a lot of this game that could be better but oh well..

The close up with the head shot is damn annoying.
For some reason now though, I longer get it.
I can kill 4 groups of people and get 1 or 2 zooms.

Re: The frustration of zoom-in's

So rarely happens with ranged for me that I wouldn't call it a problem.

Re: The frustration of zoom-in's

you can eliminate this problem by winning the red dragon, then zooming becomes obsolete

Fie on the Red Dragon. It looks like a party favor. Like confetti is going to shoot out of it. Head shots are way more effective than just unloading a clip into an enemies chest. The zoom makes it a pain sometimes though.

Re: The frustration of zoom-in's

You will have to "aim". Which makes you "zoom" in.

That is not what he meant.
When you kill people with a head shot or another cool way, the game goes into a slomo and zooms in on the charter being killed.

FYI:
The other Zoom is pointless at any point in the game.

Re: The frustration of zoom-in's

it only zooms in if you hold a specific button down after you kill them
