The games of the next generation
I believe that a lesser emphasis should be placed on better graphics. There, I said it.
My imagination is good enough to know that that human looking thing is supposed to be a human, and the dog looking thing is supposed to be a dog. I would even support going backwards a few (not too many, my imagination isn't THAT good) steps in the graphics department to make room for what I think is more important. Size and non linear gameplay.
That is why games like the Oblivion and Morrowind appeal so much to me. I enjoy the freedom I get to be able to choose to do what I want to do. I like having a game where it's really hard to do everything (which was eye-stabbingly easy to do in both Fables). That - more than anything else - is what increases replayability for me. Not obvious choices placed at specific points in the storyline, the consequences of which are stunningly easy to see. Not collecting flags at the end of every mission. I WANT SIZE!!!
Specifically I want to see Fable's engine mate with The Elder Scrolls setting and scale (as well as that non-linear thing I mentioned earlier) to produce the ultimate gaming offspring.
