The Jak & Daxter Legacy
Not a lot of people know about Jak and Daxter, and even more think it's not worth their time. Naughty dog has not let me down in the past, and again they have surprised me with amazing fun, and challenges. As well as an insane back to the future type storyline.
There are 5 games included in the Jak & Daxter series, each having their own style and flair, each containing even more content than the last. The games are (listed in order):
The story starts out and we meet the two main characters of the game right of the bat, both of them being elf-like and huge mischief-makers. We slowly find out that they are traveling to a mysterious island (Misty Island). Directly disobeying the advice of the town's Green sage, Samos. He has warned them to stay away from the island, Telling them it's the home to horrible creatures called lurkers. During the beginning cutscene Daxter falls into a pit of Dark Eco and becomes an orange Ottsel (half otter, half weasel). The pair of mischief makers travel defeated back to samos, asking and pleading for his help to change Daxter back. Samos tells them the only person who could help daxter is Gol Acheron, a sage of Dark Eco. As Jak & Daxter Search for gol, they find out that he's up to no good, and must be stopped. Gol and his sister Maia plan to use a Precursor Robot to release the vast quantities of Dark Eco in the silo at their citadel, which would result in the destruction of Jak's village and surrounding areas. Jak & Daxters adventure takes them far away from their village, where they meet new and interesting people.
Jak & Daxter: TPL has the feeling of Crashbandicoot and also contains no guns. Jak fights using, punches, kicks, & a move similar to Marios Ground pound. Jak also utilizes Eco. Blue eco making him run faster, Green eco giving him life, Yellow eco causes him to shoot fireballs from his hand, and Red eco that makes his attacks more powerful.

Jak II:
The game opens with Jak, Daxter, Samos, and Keira (Samos' daughter) finishing their repairs on the Rift Rider and Precursor Ring found in Gol and Maia's Citadel from the previous game. Jak experimentally presses a button on the Rider, and accidentally opens a Rift Gate. A huge creature emerges and the machine activates, forcing them through the Gate where the Rider explodes and the group are separated from each other. Jak and Daxter end up in a dystopia called Haven City (later known to be over 300 years in the future). Jak is captured by the Krimzon Guard and sent to prison by Baron Praxis, the tyrannical ruler of Haven City, and his second in command, Erol. Two years later, it is revealed that Jak has been used as a test subject for Baron Praxis' "Dark Warrior" program. This program involved Jak being injected with Dark Eco (the same substance that turned Daxter into an Ottsel). Because of this, Jak, with enough Dark Eco, can transform into a twisted and destructive state known as Dark Jak. Daxter soon comes to save the day, Asking jak to "SAY ANYTHING! Just this once!" Jak replies, his first line since game one with "I'm ganna KILL PRAXIS!" After the escape Jak joins an underground movement that desires to overthrow Praxis and put the true heir to the city back on the throne. The game takes place in Haven City and its surrounding areas during a war between Praxis and a menacing techno-organic race called the Metal Heads.
Unlike the previous game, Jak is granted with weapons and gadgets, as well as the option to steal anyones vehicle for trasport.

Daxter:
for the PlayStation Portable, starring Daxter and other new characters such as Osmo, Ximon, Kaeden, and Taryn. The game takes place after Jak is captured in the introduction of Jak 2 and leads to his rescue by Daxter. During the two years, Daxter manages to get hired by Osmo's Pest Control business, through which he finds the location of Jak and plots the rescue. Along the way, Daxter manages to save Haven City from an insect menace that lurks in the shadows. Unlike the rest of the series, Daxter was developed by Ready at Dawn.
Gameplay:
Jak III:
We find Jak and Daxter banished from Haven City by the leader of the newly-formed City Council, Count Veger. Apparently, inside the city, a massive three-sided war has broken out between the three new groups since Praxis' fall. Freedom League, Krimzon Guard, and the newly regrouped Metal Head army. This war eventually led to the literal collapse of the palace, effectively leveling the better half of the city. Naturally, the few remaining citizens point the blame at their new leader, Jak. Shortly after being sent into the desert wasteland, accompanied by their loyal friend Pecker, they are rescued by a ragtag band of desert dwellers, who take them into their nearby stronghold. The town, Spargus, is ruled by the benevolent Damas, and it is a home for people like Jak who have been banished from Haven City. After proving themselves worthy of staying in Spargus, the duo eventually learns from the Precursor Monk, Seem, that the end of the world may be at hand. The Day Star, a massive starship of destruction piloted by the evil precursors known as the Dark Makers, is approaching the planet with the intent to destroy it, as it has thousands of other Precursor worlds. Jak is soon blessed with the ability to absorb the very rare Light Eco and transform into Light Jak. Light Jak is the antithesis of Dark Jak in the sense that he wields more defensive abilities than offensive.
Also included are more upgrades to the weapons previously obtained in Jak II. As well as some kick *** new rides
Gameplay:
Jak X Combat Racing:
Last but certainly not least comes Combat Racing. Taking place one year after Jak 3, Haven City has been steadily rebuilt after the defeat of the Dark Maker menace. Combat Racing became a sport over time in the dangerous Kras City. Jak, Daxter, Ashelin, Keira, Samos and Torn receive an invite to the reading of a will. After offering a toast, it is revealed that everyone present has been poisoned. The only way to obtain the antidote is for everyone to race for the deceased at the next Kras City Championship. Forced into the race of their lives, Jak and his friends take to the treacherous terrain and dangerous locales of Kras City, against the best and meanest drivers in the world.
Similar to Underground, you are able to attach differen't peices to your car. Antennas, Change the colour, basically making your own car. Each car also has differen't weapons and speed. fun for those who like racing. Aslo Similar to How Twisted Metal Plays
