The Ladder Theory

I am sure some of you have seen this, but this is an interesting way to describe how men and women interact with each other.

Ladder Theory Master Page

FOCUS: Do you think this is accurate? Why do you think it is true or false?

Re: The Ladder Theory

Yes, I've heard of this before. Although harsh I do believe much of it to be true. But just as the article says no one will ever admit to it...

Re: The Ladder Theory

OMG!!!!!!! i lov a night at the roxxburry its my second favorite movie

Re: The Ladder Theory

I say that is extremely shallow and not true. Atleast I don't go by those things they say men sizes women up by. Sure, I'd like to nail the girl I secretly love, but without me needing to be in a relationship with her, us both being "in love" with eachother - what stops me (apart from the fact that I'd never ever do it to her, or any other person) just raping her, thereby satisfying, according to this theory, everything I want from her?

No siree bob. Men put women on different steps of their "ladder" depending on alot of other factors than if they are beautiful and will sleep with them.

Also, if you read through that crap, you'll see that it is just a poor sucker expressing his hate towards women. Look at the ratio of him calling women "women" and "*****es" or "sluts".

Re: The Ladder Theory

I completely agree with Tsuyu on this one, I have a heart and a conscience unfortunately.

Re: The Ladder Theory

The graphs on the previous page were not thrown together arbitrarily--they represent years of field testing. I say this because this is invariably the section I take the most flak for. Although almost all guys who have not had the manhood stripped out of them know this intuitively. As far as intellectual whores can determine, the average female ***** has a rating system that works like this:
Translation: "I had my heart broken or was too obnoxious for any woman to stand me and was dumped. Now I made-up this theory and "rating system" to show everyone what I think about women."

He is just a poor fella, albeit miss-guided, or a total *******.

Re: The Ladder Theory

yeah... this whole thing was pretty ridiculous... repeatedly referring to women as whores and claiming that they're all after assholes with money who'll treat them like **** is, at least I thought, a long forgotten stereotype... he's probably just a useless waste who can't pick up chicks and assumed it's because he has no money... rather than it perhaps having a little to do with him referring to women as whores all the time... and him obviously not believing much in fidelity, since he just wants to **** every woman he comes into contact with...

Re: The Ladder Theory

I was only able to read the first two pages, that really p****d me off.

Re: The Ladder Theory

Aw, the poor baby - he really doesn't think much of women does he? I mean, I'm not a fan of them either (as you all know) but his misogynistic tendencies are all too apparent. "Years of sociological research" - funny, it never came up in any of my sociology studies...although Hex may have come across it as she is studying at a higher level than I did...

Re: The Ladder Theory

The whole argument, or as much as I could stomach, centers around a belief that men have only one need or purpose and that is to have sex. Never even getting past the primal id (eat sleep have sex) to the ego (it's all about me) or the superego (there is something more / spiritual). It's easy to see with mentality his gross categorization of women. Will have sex = w****, won't have sex=b****. Even apes are more evolved than this level of thinking. This is the same mentality that says if you can't eat it or **** it, kill it. I'm not saying that this isn't part of who we are, just that it is only a part.
