theres this bloke on gamespot whos already got fable 2 and he is answering questions about it on the forums, he says you have to give the ring to someone you wanna impress then it make any attempts at impressing them more effective, eg you want to marry someone, then give them the ring and use expressions with em and it will get them to like you quicker then usual.

Here's a link to his/her gamertag showing that they did indeed get the game early.
According to the story they got it from Kmart when an employee just said go ahead and buy it even though it was clearly marked do not sell before Oct 21.

Well it says in the pub games that it's cursed or something so i'm gunna invite my friend into my game and "persuade" him to put it on and see what it does and if it kills him then i don't have to worry about paying him any gold...Muhahahahaha!
