The Necklace part 1
Edward was caught in a beautiful breeze that contrasted the warm sun hovering above him, it was a delight to come across such a pleasure on such a day. Edward was walking home from a trip to the markets, picking up apples and he even found a merchant selling Kiltans, the little shrimp-like creatures were hard to find in this area of Albion. It was a lucky day for Edward indeed, well, up until this point, unbeknownst to our little protaganist was that he was about to get thrown into an encounter that was very much so out of the ordinary for him. Edward decided to take the long path home since he had gotten done much quicker than he thought he would be, this way he would see the more untouched area of the forest path, hear the Sparrows chirping, the frogs croaking and maybe, just maybe, he would see the final species of butterfly that he needed to mak off for his insectoid club. Another breeze came, tuffling Edward's Onyx shade hair over his emerald eyes, thus making him trip over an outstretched root, lucjily he grabbed the tree before he fell all the way. As he looked up, he noticed something silver hanging on the branch, a necklace in fact, Edward grinned, even more good luck, and it looked as if it could draw in quite a pretty penny! He jumped in the air, arms outstretched, but failed, just inches shy from the dangling beauty, as he landed he could have swore he heard a rumble in the background, he jumped again, missed and heard the noise again, it sounded like leaves tussling, he looked around and saw no one. Edward jumped a third time, this time snatching it, he could see now that it was silver with a gold inner lining, and with a 'X' made out of bronze, he was about to turn around, but before he could Edward heard a sharp sound and felt a blade touch his neck, an arm also wrapped over his chest, Edward immediately raised his hands, but was thrown into the tree, he was now face to face with his attacker, with his blade outstretched at Edward "Stand and deliver." he demanded, "I have no money, please dont hurt me." Edward said terrified, almost to a point that he felt embarrased of himself. The bandit looked in his hand, at the necklace; "That'll do." he said "Hand it over" Edward complied willingly "Please dont hurt me!" he said the bandit took the nechlace, "Pleasure doing business with you." he said, then he shoved Edward back into the tree again and made a dash for it "Stop him!" someone yelled to his left, Edward turned his head in that direction, and saw three patrol-men armed with crossbows aimed at the bandit, the one fired but missed, the bandit escaped wuite easily, surprisingly easy. The patrolmen confronted Edward, "Are you alright?" the one asked "Yes, im fine" he replied, "Lucky we were sent out here to find a necklace, or else we wouldnt have found you." "Yeah, wait! Neckalce?" "Yes, an old magician said he had lost it out here, but was busy and asked us to retrieve it." "The bandit took it." "No, then we have to stop him, if the magician wanted it then it must have great power, we must retrieve it, come with us." Edward lyed there for nearly a minute catching his breath, then he complied, it seemed his luck streak had run out, now he was on a dangerous quest, for something that could be worthless, or mean dire consequences for those who oppose the wearer...
