The Northern Wastes

From The Northern Wastes Book in TLC

The nine seas surround Albion, but to the North is the Wasteland. Some say there's nothing, and others that it is Jack of Blade's true home. The old Scribes say that it was once a mighty empire before the glaciers came. Libraries of arcane knowledge still exist beneath the ice, and those who once lived there sleep deeply beneath the cold blanket, ready to reawaken when the time comes and Albion is ruled again by one man.

I'm guessing that Hero of Bowerstone started waking up whatever was in the Northern Wastes, as he was the first true king in a while, we will see what lies beneath the ice in Fable 3? HOPE SO!!!

Re: The Northern Wastes

hey if we get to go to the northen wastes hoo may be there

Re: The Northern Wastes

But the Hero of Oakvale is dead.

That being said, I hope we get to visit other areas that were left out of Fable 2, like Hook Coast, and Knothole Glade, Bargate, etc.

If you will check the Lionhead community forums then you will notice that Lionhead has said it many times over and over that there won't be many returning regions from Fable II (most probably one or two).

Therefore, I wouldn't expect any Fable The Lost Chapters region to be returning in Fable III.

Re: The Northern Wastes

This makes me sad. Why are Lionhead moving away from the original Fable?

Re: The Northern Wastes

Snowspire was such a cool town. I wanted to see what it's like now. ='( And go back to the Oracle...

They have to, in order to create something new and better from the past games. Nowadays when you create a game, you always try to make a next chapter to it, because you want to improve your game (unlike 10-20 years ago that rarely people made sequels).

Re: The Northern Wastes

I would like to see new big areas like that one ...

I totaly want old regions to return, but improved ... Knothole Glade, Snowspire, Hook Coast ... But bigger and improved ....

Sequels were rare in the video game industry 10 - 20 years ago? Zelda, Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, etc.

I don't see what's so bad about trying to make a game that has the mystic feel that Fable had. The element of not acutally understanding the world you were in, but playing a large role in it nontheless.

Depends what You like really.

Re: The Northern Wastes

The early fable (1 and TLC) had a wonderful feel, but i can see why lionhead are moving away to make the franchise more accessible to casual players
