The Rescue - game problems?

Hey all,

I'm currently playing Fable 2 for the second time (I was good before but fancied a go at being evil this time!) and I attempted to do the 'The Rescue' quest earlier - where you have to find your child and rescue him/her from Hobbes.

I saved my son, got him to follow me and tried to find a way out of the cave using the glowing trail. It told me to go up a ladder so I did and when I got out my son was no where in sight! I tried to go back down the ladder but it told me if I left i'd have to redo the quest!

So I tried it again and got the same result!

Are there any known problems in the game right now? I remember when I played before they had that weird bug that made the game stall.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.

I've had a lot of Fable II glitches and was able to fix most of them. I also fixed this one, I did a sidequest before I did this one, just to try, and the next time I attempted this quest it was okay again...hope this helps....
