so i loaded up Fable II after like 5 days of not playing and i have the rescue quest available.... so i accept trail and travel... i takes me to cametary road in bowerstone old town and i start the search for my wife, she is no where to be seen, ive looked every where and still no sign of her, ive been working on the same quest for almost 3 hours now and still no sign of her, ive read previous threads about this very quest and have discovered that my daughter SHOULD be in hobbe cave, after visiting the cave, no sign of her. PLEASE HELP!!!!:wacko:

i dont know if this will help or not but my marital house is the house of hard knocks in bowerstone old town, i dont remember my wifes original name (i changed it to be my current girlfriends name lol) and my daughters name is amy,... just thought it might be important so ya...

Exactly where did the trail lead you... where did it end? Perhaps try setting the trail to your wife directly instead of the quest?

yes i tried that too... it took me to cemetary road in bowerstone old town. and when i get thhere there isnt a trail anymore... when i got to families section, it has my wifes name, and i click set trail and travel,... but it dosent do anything.

Try doing some different quests or jobs and see if your wife pops back up. My wife disappeared for awhile a few times, but she normally comes back at some point. She has to give you your child's letter before the child will be in the cave though.

well,... when i go to families it has my wifes name and then all the families stats,... and then at the bottom it reads "Darling, i need you to return home immediately. I have grave news regarding our daughter , your faithful wife, Brittny"... is that what you mean by childs letter?

this quest is bugged. you didn't happen to give your spouse a ring as a gift after marriage did you? apparently, this is one of the triggers for this quest not to work. the problem i had was pretty much the same. i couldn't find my spouse, then went to the hobbe cave, no child! I went back home, and found my spouse. the breadcrumb trail led to him, but there was no exclamation mark over the head, and I could not initiate the quest

Ah, if you did that then you won't be able to do the quest I don't think. Sorry The letter on the family screen is not what I'm referring to. When you go see your wife she will give you the letter in question if the quest initiates. If it's any consolation, my wife didn't have a ! over her head when I approached her, but the quest still went on as normal. A lot of family glitches seem to clear themselves up, at least for me, so don't give up yet.

no, it has not. i got frustrated and shot my spouse. the quest is still there
