The Right Title = Happyness?

Do u guys think that hearing yourself being called something changes the way you play the game?

Some examples:

Chicken Chaser = Childish and free spirited
Palidan = Helpful and Care Giving
Deathbringer = Angry and cold of heart

Post some more of your ideas on the psychotic part of titles.

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

What I'm called doesn't change the way I play the game. I could be called Paladin and be an evil ******* who kills small children. I don't let what I'm called dictate that.

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

I guess it kinda does. I mean, if a villager were to decide to come up to me and call me a knob-head, then yeah, I'd kill him.

On a sidenote: How cool would it be to have 'knob head' as a title in Fable 2? Wait... guess it's just me that would like to see that...

^_^

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

I believe it does add a little depth of gameplay to it, maybe since there's gonna be alotta dialouge in this one we won't hear... "O RANGEEEERRRRRR!!!!!" over and over lol

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

I think it changed how you felt in the game. It got irritating being called Chicken Chaser. Some of the things people said where pretty funny.

"Avatar? What does that mean?"

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

Certainly. Not everyone is serious when playing a game, so I think a title like "****'s Brother" would really **** the player off, eh?

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

When the guy at the heroes guild calls you an annoying runt i punch him or kill him, but if he calls me something good them yeah I'm happy! :D

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

I think that if you have an awesome title but no renown, people won't understand or won't see you fit for the title. xP When I changed from Chicken Chaster to Hood, many said "Hood? What's that?" but after I got lots of renown "Oh, it's Hood!" "Oh, hello there Hood."

It doesn't change the way I play the game.. but it is awesome to hear everyone cheer for you and say your name. :P

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

well a name does slightly affect the way i play. i wouldnt want to be called "chicken chaser. you chase chickens?" and the nthey laugh at me. i dont wanna be an arseface either. having a good name makes me feel good about my character, which in turn provokes me to demand ultimate respect from the low life peasants in the game. i wanna be called "sage" or "warrior" those names would just make me feel so badass!

Re: The Right Title = Happyness?

For me, Definatly. I wouldnt like be Arseface or Chicken Chaser, Makes me mad getting fun of (But of course, those who do get Steel in their face) But it doesnt affect my Morality, i could be a Necromancer but do Good things or Paladin and do Bad things..
