The sims 2

This game is very unlike the previous ones.
I have no idea how you have kids(I have the regular one for ps2), I've tried everything... so I need a little help with that.
The graphics are good, but the story line is choppy. I usually play in free mode, because story mode is confusing. all the people pretty much look the same. The sims and the sims busting out atleast allowed you to choose different faces.
I have no cheat codes for the game, so therefor I am pretty much screwed. Its fun, but you get tired of it after a while. Like you'll want to throw your controller against the wall. The game is slow. I mean it skips and your running one moment and the next your standing still. The controls stink.

Any opinions, and any advice?

It runs terrible on the PS2 and as you say the controls are awful, but it runs really well on the PC. What would you like advice about? Would you like some cheats also?

Your a life saver! Yes cheats would be wonderful. I don't know how far into detail we can get in this but, on the Sims 2, how the heck are you susposed to have kids? Do you unlock it or what?
The ps2 usually is horrible at controls. I learned that whilst playing The urbz. I hope the ps3 improved the controls.

Your a life saver! Yes cheats would be wonderful. I don't know how far into detail we can get in this but, on the Sims 2, how the heck are you susposed to have kids? Do you unlock it or what?

Apparently the ability to have children was removed for the PS2 version due to console limitations.

Triangle Circle Square R2 Left - Set Skill Level

Circle Square L1 Up Down - Advance clock 6 hrs.

Circle L2 Left Circle Up Circle - Unlock All Lots

R1 L1 R2 Right Left - Give Money (9,999)

L1 R1 Up X R2 - Unlock Gnome (enter first)

Up,Circle,Up,Right,L2 - Fill All Motives

R2 Square Up Down Right X - Unlock All Recipes

Square R2 Down Right Square - Unlock All Clothing

L2 Circle Down Left Up - Unlock all objects

R1 L1 R1 L1 Triangle - Horn Audio

No sh!t?! Aww man, that'slow - very low. Jesus Christ, I can't get it out of my mind how dirty cheap that is! That is one of the key features of the Sims and all... ugh... damn Sony and damn the PS2.

I didnt know it was removed until i read an FAQ on gamespot, i presume its because the kids take on the traits and DNA of the parents and the AI and chips in the PS2 couldnt handle that kind of data memory or something to transfer it over.

Looks like I'll have to buy it for the Xbox, or the gamecube.
You know the ps2 isn't really holding its own. How dare they offend me. I shall devise a plan and wreck havoc on all humanity until this blasphemy is corrected! I shall not spend my eighteen dollars and fifty two cents on yet another Sims 2! I must use my eighteen dollars and fifty two cents on Fable 2.

That is just wrong - then don't make the game for this particular console. Simple. It obviously can't handle it. I would feel screwed over if I bought the game then discovered that.

I saw how it was running in the demos and laughed as it clearly wasnt up to the task and the lag was horrible.

I remember making the mistake of buying Phantasy Star Universe for my PS2 - huge mistake. The game was obivously meant for the 360 and the graphics are just horrible on the PS2.

Clearly another lame attempt to suck as much money as possible from this console - it has had it's peak, now please let it have a honourable burial - stop making crappy versions of newer games for it! PLEASE!

And I dunno, but selling crappier versions advertised to be as good as the ones for the next gen consoles feels so... illegal to me. OK if they SAID that the games had these... limitations. Then you knew what bought(But then, who would....).
