The Things We Say To No One
Everything I wanted to say
To everyone I have met;
Those words never said, just wash away.
These things I keep inside
I know are right and real.
The true and the false, everyday collide.
A mask each day
For each new situation arisen
They arrive and leave, but never stay.
Yes, yes, no, no
False words from a false tongue
Yet again the real feelings were too slow.
What keeps this in
Happy times of clouds of white
Do not shatter the benign, and let Hades begin.
Eventually, it will all come out
Where will we be, when all is said and done
A tactical retreat will become a rout.
For now, it seems best to keep having fun
And just keep to ourselves,
The things we say to no one.
