The highly acclaimed RPG series by CD Projekt Red has now officially sold 4 million units across Xbox 360, PC, and Mac with both games combined. Unfortunately this is still less than the 4.5 million copies of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings that were illegally downloaded. Although CD Projekt ceased to take legal action against those who downloaded the game as a show of faith to their fans.
"While we are confident that no one who legally owns one of our games has been required to compensate us for copyright infringement, we value our fans, our supporters, and our community too highly to take the chance that we might ever falsely accuse even one individual."
"So we've decided that we will immediately cease identifying and contacting pirates."
Im happy to see the game series start to get the recognition it deserves and the sales the hard work and determination of the developers warrants.
