Thinking about buying new games

I was thinking about buying some new games, one of them being "Elder Scrolls: Morrowind" I believe I have seen people talking about this game on this forum, would anyone recommend this game? I have only seen maybe two screenshots for this game. I have heard that it is similar to Fable, is this true?
Any help would be appreciated. :D

Re: Thinking about buying new games

Have you got a good pc or an Xbox 360? If so id recommend Elder Scrolls Oblivion over Morrowind.

Re: Thinking about buying new games

I don't have an Xbox 360 yet, I'm saving money now. If I bought a 360 now, I wouldn't be able to pay my rent, and I would only be able to cuddle with my 360 in a cold dark alley
Also, my PC sucks... It has a hard time running TLC O.o
Since I can't get Oblivion yet, would you recommend Morrowind?

I wasnt a huge fan of Morrowind myself but it is a good game but obviously looking very dated these days as its been out for years. Combat system is also quite fraustrating, but was much improved in Oblivion. What sort of games are you into?

Everything except sports

Yeah, the combat system... It was more than just "quite frustrating":P
OK, I`m not a big fan of RPGs myself (not Fable), Neverwinter Nights being the only one I`ve played, just got interested myself and I asked my friend. He says that Morrowind is a VERY good game and he`s kind of RPG player.
Also, Oblvion wants a good system so if you don`t have it (yet), Morrowind might be even better.

On a low - mid spec PC?

Can you list your specs?

Re: Thinking about buying new games

I'll put it this way, it's a tiny HP that you could lift with one finger
I mainly play games on actual gaming consoles, rather than my PC. Fable TLC is the only game I have for PC.

Re: Thinking about buying new games

What System(s) do you have?

If you have a PS2 or PS3 i Would recomend: Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, Jak 3, Ratchet and Clank, Ratchet Deadlocked, Ratchet and Clank Up your Arsenal, Ratchet and Clank Going Commando ( all 3rd person shooting, Fighting )

Gamecube: Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigis Mansion ( kinda scary :P ) Zelda games ( Restored Versions ) Super Mario Kart: Double Dash, Warios World, Ultimate Spiderman, to many games to list!!

Xbox: Fable and TLC, Ninja Gaiden, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Tony Hawk Games ( they arent sports Per Se..) There is probably Tons of others but i havent played em.

Xbox 360: Oblivion, Saints Row, Sonic, Crackdown, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Tony Hawks Project 8, Call of Duty 2, 3, tons of others to lazy to list

Re: Thinking about buying new games

Morrowind RULES! Just be sure to get it on the PC because without modding it sucks. Also make sure to register an account here: Planet Elder Scrolls - Maps, News, Oblivion, Cheats, Downloads to download most mods - it is a bit tricky, but it is free to register.

Mods that I consider a "must":

Better Bodies.
Better Heads.(There are many different face packs, I love many of them, but Better Heads is the only one I can think of right now)
Various Better Clothing Mods to go with Better Bodies.
Female Clothing/Armour Mods (There were no female versions of armour in the game originally)
There are also a lot of game play balancing mods.

Basically, with modding you can turn it into a whole different game!

Re: Thinking about buying new games

Burnout Revenge! Smash up your car because you CAN!!!

Re: Thinking about buying new games

Thanks for the advice :)
Kave, you suggested Zelda games, I have almost every Zelda game out there
Angel, I have Burnout revenge...I :heart:explosions....
Now... to give rep to everyone...this could take a while...

Re: Thinking about buying new games

Bet I love explosions more than you. I'm disappointed when things don't blow up...glad you already have it though...I'm just waiting on my copy. Good thing I have friends in high places (i.e. a mate who's manager of one of the GAME shops :D)
