This is a Suggestion but a Question at the same time . . .
(This is only for XBL; I don't know much about Computer Fable)

I understand the storyline is about Ruling, but you have to prove yourself first, but something bugs me.

Will there be a way where players can play eachother? I know it is possible, but not the way people wanted I think, then again I am okay with the part of you can't have another Hero in your world. (Fable 2 based)

But if the idea isn't added already, make a new option . . .
Below Load, there would be something like . . Fable 3 worlds.
Maybe there are like four servers, that allow every player to completely interact with eachother and addition the storyline changes slightly, instead of you proving yourself, abide your ruler or you defy him/her.

Also add like a tournament for players vs players, they will use their skills of evading and aiming and stuff. There's some flaws to this idea but maybe they can be flexxed out a little.

So this is what I wanna see:
1. Player Tournaments
2. All-Player Servers(And there might even be a PVP-Server)

Well, since Fable 3 is going to be highly anticipated, this wouldn't be the right move. The servers would fill up quick, and Lionhead would not like to keep on adding new ones, would they? Besides, there is always that one person who likes to lag the whole server. Though the PC version would be good for this.

Well Player tournaments could oragnised by players, such as shooting galleries and such. For PvP unless the co-op is much bigger than fable II I don't see it becoming more than 1v1 matches. However due to the ruling theme of fable III, you might be able to have battles with your armies.

I already suggested something similar, but I think that at least when playing in multiplayer (or whatever was it called in Fable 2) you should be able to duel or make some other competitions with your friend(s)...

i more simple way to have mmo like stuff, but less lag and cost could be "party play"
perhaps? like an xbl party all playing f3 can all enter a single world, either one of the players worlds, or a sort of pre-set world.

There is talk of being able to duel, marry, have children with...well generally do anything with another character you can do with an NPC.
no news on formal duels as of yet (as in a game mechanic accommodating for duels such as a countdown to starting etc.) but if the above holds true through to release then players can easily organise their own by turning off safety and screaming GO! down the microphones XD

lol... I personally don't care about official duels as long as me and my buddy can beat crap out of each other when we want x)
But, but any kind of PvP would be awesome... be it dueling or some massive battle royale or just some friendly competitions at archery, hunting or something it would be awesome big time!

Meh. The PvP thing doesn't interest me. I didn't like it when I played an MMO which shall not be mentioned.

Well it doesn't have to be a massive PvP alike MMOs have...
I mean... I invite you in my world like in F2 and then we do some quests or we can make a friendly duel in nearby forest or where ever we want...
