Tieing up lose ends?

I was just thinking although Fable 2 will be 500 years later will they tie up some lose ends from fable and tlc?
I know its been said that there wont be direct ties to the first fable but wouldnt it be different outcomes of the 500 years depending on how fable and/or fable tlc were beaten?
in fable if you
killed your sister or not
and in tlc if you

took the mask or not

wouldnt that greatly change the out comes of Albion through the 500 or so years?
I mean wouldnt one choice lead Albion into 500 years of evil or good?
Im just wondering how Albion would turn out because each endding in the game lead you to think your actions changed Albion greatly....which would mean Albion would be in good or bad shape..dont you think? Maybe its just me but anyone els think this?

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

yeah first time i heard there was a fable 2 coming out

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

yeah...well what do you think would be more likely to happen?

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

well no matter how you ended up Albion remained more or less unchanged... unfortunately Fable was sadly lacking in the branching storyline and impact department so I doubt it ends up making any difference in the sequel either... plus I believe they've said that they don't want Fable 2 to be having too much to do with the original storyline... plus for those who never played the original it would be difficult to decide on which would be the default alignment and which choices the default character would have made... it's easier to just ignore the history altogether and make the storylines completely separate.

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

They could do the kind of thing that KOTOR 2 did, but I don't see that happening, but I know alot of people, me included, would be kind of upset about that :hmm:

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

I think their clever enough to make it work regardless of what choice you made in Fable or TLC. I doubt they will tie very much to the old game however.

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

they should have some things from old fable like easter eggs like something for us oldie fable fanatics

I agree but that's all they should have.

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

like maybe even some lines from the first one
"I had to eat baitworms all week"

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

Or a reference to the hero who defeated Jack of Blades in a book or something. Then saying how what happened after that was something no one could have for seen. That would be ambiguous enough to allow for either choice you made as well as whether or not you played TLC.
Perhaps a statue with the top slightly damaged so that you can't tell if the hero had horns or not and in Will users robes but not painted so you cant tell if they're light or dark. Maybe the statue could change based on your current character's alignment. That would be fun.

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

thated be AWESOME!!
the book idea should get up to the part about the hero and jack of blades
then is should say something like
"and then the hero had to make a life changing choice like no other, he had"
[the book is to worn to be readable]
or something

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

Maybe they'll have like. play house or something. Where they "re-inact" some past Fable things. ^_^

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

play house =[ my hero wouldnt be allowed in
"ello there sunshine you seem like youd murder everyone here....eh i mean your not renown enough to enter"

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

They will have some hints at the old Fable games for the diehard fans to bring back memories and have some areas that look similar for that nostalgia feel but other than that i hope they change and expand the game a lot.

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

hmmm i wonder what Oakvale will look like....maybe its a city now...like Bowerstone is in Fable 2.....id like to tavle to different continents or countries in fable 2...anyways....im pretty sure thell have SOME kind of reference to the past Fable......wait.....i think i got something...maybe...in Fable 2....u can find the Heros journal....u know....in Fable 1, the hero like recorded everything....maybe u can find that....

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

I don't think your choices at the end of Fable or TLC will matter because you are playing a different character or characters now that may not have that much of a link with your past character in Fable. Sure, they'll make some references to the original Fable, because it is Fable afterall, but I don't think your choices matter as much. However, your choices now have a much greater impact on the world in Fable 2, so there might be the slight chance that over time, your past choices have affected the world somewhat. Hmm...at this point I'm unsure.:ninja:

Re: Tieing up lose ends?

i bet there will be a statue or somethin of heros from fable 1 or tlc in fable 2... just like how fable 1 and tlc had statues of heros around the place
