sorry for making this my first post on site - but I was searching for this answer and this forum looked like a great place for me (I own/play/love all 3 Fable games) & I did not see an introduction thread. Anyway, on to the issue.

Conditions - I'm very early in the game [currently pending main quest is the monorail]; I, prior to unlocking the Friendship pack, level-up'd most of the villager's relationships with me to the upper limit of 'Neutral'; I've, since, completed quite a few 'Villager Relationship Quests' (VRQs) (so I understand how to get them to give me tasks now)

Question - How many VRQs can I initiate concurrently?

Desire - I'd like to, methodically, go through Brightwall Village and initiate VRQs from everyone that I've not done so for -- thereby making them my 'Friend'. I know about Right Trigger (on XBOX360) showing whom I've made a friend already, and the '!' showing either open or prospective VRQs. But I'd really like to go -- top-to-bottom -- through the village and lock-in all the VRQ that I can at one time and them go to (in this example) Mistpeak Vallet and Dweller Camp in one faell swoop. Is this possible? I ask, because, it seems, that after, either, a certain number of villagers or VRQs initiated or maybe minutes that some start to deactivate -- they will still be available, but I have to 'positive expression' them to reactivate a VRQ that, I swear, I've activated previously.

sorry for the long post - I just wanted things to be clear. If anyone has any numbers or even educated guesses about the number of time/VRQs I should shoot for at one time, please, let me know ---- and thanks in advance.

ive had i think 4-5 VRQ's all at once and once I accepted them as a quest they seemed to remain active in my queue (even though i ignored them for quite awhile. not sure if that is a limit or not, but i also haven't tried to get more than 4-5 at once either. i'd GUESS that as long as you get them to the proper relationship level AND accept the quest when it is offered you could potentially have as many VRQ's as you want to. hope this helped :)

Yes there is a limit to the # of rel quests you can have going.. it's around 7 or so.. after that you can't get any more. You MUST complete some of them. sometimes some of them will drop away over time, but if you have your rent and shops all set to low prices and play a very good character, chances are they won't drop off

thanks Faedil and David Dutton
I think, after playing around with it a bit, it's more a time issue than anything else. I can go through the village and initiate quite a few VRQs but after a time they will drop off. I'm not sure if some are 'weighted', but it sure seems that way. I've had it happen a couple of times where the 4th or 5th person that I received a VRQ from drop off the list prior to one in the 1st through 3rd range (in this case the crier of Whitewall being the one dropped).

So given that, and both of your responses, I'm going to have to stick to somewhere around 4-7 VRQs to initiate then complete and return for some more. The one decent thing about this, at this point in the game, is that I can pretty much bounce between Whitewall and Dweller, with a few digs and drop-offs in Mistpeak in between.

Thanks again Faedil and DD

I've seen that too... once I get so many.. some drop off.. but then the game sometimes just "hard locks" them.. this could actually be a potential bug.

My GUESS is the game is supposed to work one way OR the other

1) hard lock limit until the person(s) "like" for you drops and so does their quest

-OR-

2) After exceeding the "limit," older ones drop off

I'm going to send in a bug report to LH. Anytime a game does things that are inconsistent... it's usually a bug ;)
