I went to back the doctors Monday and he told me then, gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. It's Wednesday now, I feel a little better (the more 'fever' side of it has gone) but I'm still a little light headed and my throat is sore.

I spoke to work earlier and said I could be in tomorrow but I don't want to rush back for a number of reasons.
- I don't know how I'll feel out and about for a full day as of yet.
- It's a call centre so I'll be speaking all day with Tonsillitis.
- My immune system's a little weak at the moment and I don't want to catch anything.

Could anyone recommend me a good time to return to work? There's only 2 days left of this week. Also, any ways to ease the pain a little?

Normally Antibiotics are a 10 day course but according to NHS prognosis symptoms resolve within 3 days in 40% of people and within 1 week in 85% of people. So 1 week to 10 days id say personally if you are worried.

Oh great, because personally I don't feel well enough to go anywhere.. My mother will think I'm lying and have a go at me hehehe.

Everyones recovery time varies of course and some people get better faster than others.

Take the weekend off. It's the perfect excuse to sit on your ass for a few days, recovered or not.
