The answer is to sort your alignment out. In your hero status/personality area of your menu there is an alignment bar which tells you whether you are good or evil. You are evil because you have killed a vast amount of people- killing villagers, guards and nice people add evil points to your alignment whereas killing bandits, balverines and enemies adds good points to your alignment. Appearance only plays a small part in how the townsfolk perceive your character and react to your presence.

To get them to like you again you need to do some good deeds such as kills bandits or bad guys, do some quests which help people instead of killing them and generally be good. Donate at the Temple Of Avo if you have loads of cash- its usually goes a long way to getting you back on track.

Hmm thats interesting, maybe the characters are programmed to fear you for a while, even if you are good. Did you slaughter the town recently?

Re: town respesct

yae i killed the intire town but no one saw me do it

That is probably the answer the alignment must have gone weird with you going from bad to good to doing bad deeds again

Re: town respesct

Show all your trophies throughout the town. That usually gets peoples attention in a good way. The trophies of good deeds though, like the White Balverine, or something of the sort.

Re: town respesct

Trophies do not focus on alignment but moral, so I do not think that will aid you. I think the only thing you can do is wait, there will not be anything else really; whether it be gifts or good deeds.

Re: town respesct

Good point but trophies bring renown and if they see the trophy usually the people fall in love with you right there.

Re: town respesct

If someone came to your home town, and killed everybody, do you think you would welcome them back a couple of days later?

Re: town respesct

but the thing is i killed everyone that would include you so how could u care if your dead

Re: town respesct

O.k. then I lived in the town down the road, heard houses were cheap because everyone was dead...because you killed them. DO you think I would welcome you back?

Re: town respesct

but how could that be possible if there are no houses down the road and if there were dont u think i would kill the residents that and how would you know i killed all the townsfolk i did it all stealthfully

Re: town respesct

Word travels fast my friend. It's a small world, after all.

There is always somebody to spread the word. If you nail the entire town why do guards keep coming at you then? They send word through their little travelling pigeons which have long disappeared using their warp engines... I mean wings.... by the time you have polished off the town.... meaning more guards come, send more pigeons, one of which gets lost and then appears in another town. Beside apparently the entire heroes life is chartered by the guild....

Re: town respesct

I agree with wierdkidinabox, there will always be someone to spread the word.

To quote what the game told you in the beginning when you were a child. "Word travels fast in each town of your good or bad deeds."

I didn't tell on the poor schmuck that was cheating on his wife, and I got a lecture from one of the guards across the town for my "bad deeds." O.o

Re: town respesct

Time heals most wounds. In the situation that you're thrown out of town, at least, if you look at the screen that comes up when you attempt to Teleport somewhere, it will tell you how long you have to wait before the people of the village will forget your crime(s). Strangely enough, it tends to take only about eight minutes of play-time before the people don't remember that you slaughtered a couple members of their town. Fickle townsfolk I guess...you could kill someone's best friend, and they wouldn't mind it in the morning. ;)

In the case that your morality shifts dramatically to the negative, if you've already been to Twinblade's Camp, go back there and kill the remaining bandits a few times and your morality will head back towards the positive. It's funny, you can wipe out basically the entire camp (other than the Traders, Mercenary, and the "Spot the Addition" Guy) and when you leave the area and come immediately back, there will be a whole new set of bandits for you to kill. Didn't they notice the bloodstains on the "lean-tos" left over from you killing their friends?

That said, I once wiped out the entire town of Hook Coast in the original "Fable," and when I went back there, no one was around...even after I had been away long enough for my crimes to be forgotten.

I wiped out Bowerstone North, house by house, and it took awhile for the town to respawn. :P
