Ok so, i know how to gift someone an item, but is there another way to trade? so i know for a fact i will get my fair share of the trade? because i dont wanna trade someone my Swinging Sword for Jacks hammer for example, just to find out that as soon as i gave them the swinging sword they took it and left.. is there a better way?

Best way to trade is trade with someone you know and trust. There are no fool-proof trading ways over XBL because there is always going to be the danger of someone ripping you off.
We have a thread here which lists people who are trustworthy traders - as well as another thread dedicated to what to look out for if you are worried you'll be scammed. Why not check them out? We also have many regular members here who would be happy to trade honestly with you - just check out the trading forum and post a thread about what you want and what you're offering in return
