Two summers [Poem]
Two summers I wanted to last,
two summers in my past.
The first summer I saw with glee for a wild girl was dating me
Filled with rum and dirty things
I first thought when I saw her eyes
Is that I would get laid and she wasn't my love's key
But her intelligence and kindness showed as my heart sang
The end of the first summer I knew the party rumors were just lies
The second summer full of love,
And bountiful blessings from above.
And in this summer full of joy I knew the truth of life
Love is the boundary between strong men and fragile boys
So on this second summer full of love
I presented her with a special dove
Symbolic of everything I wanted to be, nice, positive and full of purity.
