Two weblayouts I made.

I was trying to see if I could come up with a decent layout design using only brushes. Heres what I came up with. (Rate /10 cc welcome)

They are good, but i HATE the thick black lines! WHY?

The arrows you have in the background on the first one, the look nice! Try building the site more in the style they have! I mean, lighter colors, and most important - more colors!

Sure, sometimes using only 1, 2 or 3 colors is o.k, but if you try to make a design this "busy" I would use some more colors! Check out this link, its awesome for inspiration with colors:

I know crap all about web design, but I like the second one the best - I'm not a fan of pink, but I like the layout.

Both are nice web layouts, first is a nice subtle colour but those black lines do stand out quite a lot. Overall design is very nice though and looks pretty sleek. Also like the 2nd one as it has some interesting designs in the background, eye catching but not so much so that they detract attention away from everything else.

Cheers, this is like the only forum that actually gives proper constructive criticism (cc for short), all the other forums are like; "****, good, kewel" Etc.. Thanks for the cc.

Btw most of these are things I've done in the past, I'll carry on to upload my latest ones if you bare with me.

First design, no offence but its bad. Cant put my finger on it but the lines seems wrong, theres no flow to the design, things seem misplaced, like it was hurried or something. The background reminds me of camoflage gear army uses in urban areas. Things dont match well together. Hard to explain.

Second one is nice but it seems like certain areas of the boxes are cropped and removed and it doesnt seem complete. Like pieces are missing or something. Love the colours though. A nice CSS style touch to it with rounded boxes and a finessed style would be cool here, imo anyway.

Yeah I forgot to mention the 2nd one's boxes weren't propotioned correctly (If that's how you spell it ) Cheers.

Steve (ProjectEgo) and I first owned a GFX forum (also our first forum) so ive gotten used to giving plenty of cc over the years. Its the best way to improve skills and design eye.

Meh, I love forums and such, especially gfx ones. I know I'm new but if you need hand in the moderation team let me know ;P.
