UK Xbox 360 sales rose by 32 percent over the weekend following Microsoft's move to cut the console's price last Friday, retail monitor GfK Chart-Track has told Edge.
Sony's PS3 saw an eight percent drop in sales compared to the previous weekend, while sales of Nintendo's market-leading Wii rose by three percent.
The news comes just days after the platform holder reduced the price of its entire range of 360 consoles in Europe, further undercutting its rivals' hardware offerings. It also reflects a similar jump in 360 sales witnessed in March following the console's previous price cut.
On Monday Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360's European installed base had broken six million units.
Total worldwide 360 sales currently stand at around 20 million units.
