Weather System and Changing seasons

At the moment where i live there has been aot of rain and flooding.
This evening i went for a cycle and thought it would be cool if the (supposed) Fable 2 weather system was a little more dynamic than most games to date.

What if light rain caused puddles to appear and heavy rain might cause floods in specific areas.

or in summer certain areas could be prone to fires and heat waves.

i would love for a weather system that affects the world in different ways, even if it was just smething like a person comment on the heat, or the cold, something to add a little to a feature that would otherwise be just an aesthetic thing.

Or maybe even weather that can unlock quests. Say a gale knocks a tree onto a persons home, the person could ask you to help him persuade a merchant to give him a better deal on wood needed to repair the house. Just little things that add a little more fun to an already extremely promising game

does anyone else think the weather should affect the world like this or would you just be happy if it snows sometimes and nothing comes off it?

A fully-functioning weather system would be great. Then again, even a standard day and night cycle would be nice! ^_^

But to add to what you said: I think it would be great if, when it snows, your balance was affected while fighting, especially while fighting on ice. Perhaps even fighting in the blazing sun would tire you out faster and cause you to fatigue. I'm sure you guys can come up with some much better examples.

I was just thinking about this... Weather, and time changes. It would be great if Fable 2 had those

Would be great. but adding too many weather options might put a strain on the gameplay.

yeah i was thinking that it might be a little difficult for the 360 but you never know, the weather changes would have to be gradual, i would hate if it was raining one day then a heat wave the next, too frequent and its annoying, but if they balance it right it would be awesome.

i think lionhead would do something along these lines because they like to do stuff that hasn't been done in games before, how they would balance complexity i have no idea.

i just think it would add even more emersion to the world.

I guess id be happy with just changing seasons and the land around would be affected by it. The rivers would freeze, leaves would fall, maybe even a snowstorm.

yea a weather system would be nice. At least sumthin like oblivion's weather system, and the shivering iles sky at night, they're osm!!!

This idea got me fairly happy, I like the idea very much I hope Lionhead does this.

All you guys have great ideas . Haven't someone at lionhead mentioning rising and lowering water levels opening quests and such. I think I will look around the net awhile. I think with the new physics engine it might be an possibility
