Weekly Japanese Hardware Sales Tumble...

The latest data from Media Create shows that Japanese hardware sales dropped across the board, excluding those of the Game Boy Micro, for the week ended September 9.

While Nintendo hardware continues to dominate, DS Lite sales were down by 17K on last week’s figures, while Wii sales dropped by 10K.

Similarly, Sony hardware sales were down across its three platforms, while the Xbox 360’s lackluster performance continues.

Sales for the week ended September 9:

Nintendo DS Lite - 77,488
Wii - 29,088
PSP - 15,564
PlayStation 2 - 13,360
PlayStation 3 - 13,248
Xbox 360 - 1,286
Game Boy Micro - 428
Game Boy Advance SP - 122

People will start to wait for the price cuts and bundle deals at xmas now to surface.
