I recently, meaning about 2-3 weeks ago, bought an xbox 360, with a controller and some games off trade (nz site just like ebay) it wasen't brand new, bought it off an owner.

He told me before I bought it that he had something installed into it so RROD wouldnt occur, but unfortunetly today I found out that the RROD can occur..

So what now?

If it's like eBay can't you file a complaint or something?

You had the RROD or found out that the thing he installed doesnt prevent it?

Umm not sure if you can complain.. but Ill look into that a bit more.

I just got the RROD today, like it happened to my xbox.. so Im assuming whatever he got installed didnt work.. BUUUT I fixed my xbox again, wonder if it'll last though..

Very odd indeed, in some cases people attempting these 'fixes' makes the chance of the RROD increase as its an easy fix to do and people who know what they are doing should be able to sort it. Took me over 3 years to get the RROD as ive stated many times and my 360 was really poorly stored. Problem is by fixing these things it voids the warranties.

Always beware of buying tech from anyone especially used.

just sayin'
