It's the Maelstrom.
You get a golden sword from the light temple. Can't remember the name off hand.

its like the rising sun cleaver does somewhere along the lines of 70 dmg to normal people and like 90-100 to evil creatures

Yeah it's more of a novelty weapon. It does extra damage when killing villagers etc. Well villagers die if you look at them the wrong way =). It does help with guards though. If you haven't seen it, it looks like the Commandants sword.
