A lot, Fable TLC is much more of an expansion. Fable ends just with the heroes guild still burning. Fable TLC ends when you kill Jack of Blades the second time and choose to either wear, or throw the mask away.
Fable is fun, but if you want to understand fable 2 a lot more, Fable TLC is the way to go.
Also, there is new and better armor. The sword of Aeons matches the power of a new sword, Avo's tear, and they are both scaled down greatly.
