what was wrong???

why did people think the first fable was bad if had a few glitches but it was an awesome game i spent a couple of months doing everything and completing as a good guy why did people put it down so much??

Long story short: Peter ran his mouth about how great the game would be when released, as is his ways, however, the game's development was troubled and in the end they had to release the game waaaaay before it was "done".

So this "super game" of his ended up being... not so super when compared to what it was hyped up to be.

If you look up some of the reviews from the time when the game was released you'd see. No matter what score they give the game (heck, IGN gave it 9-something) they all sorta whine about how the game didn't live up to the hype.

Same is said for Alone in the Dark...although that didn't even score a 9 ^_^

the money men talked and forced release?

The game is excellent even tho it is short, after the prison break the rest seems to happen too quick, but I did play the original fable not TLC.

To be fair tho, before I tried out physical shield after reading about it online I was finding the game very tough at points, physical shield changes fighting completely making it way easier. I probably would be still stuck at the arena now if I hadnt got physical shield.
