well...even in TLC...u need to use trainer to buy it....and i think u can find it somwhere...just dunno where

Arckon's Battle Armor, found in the Necropolis (only in TLC), in the 25 key chest after the bridge on the left at the end of the path. It is directly opposite the mana augmentation on the right after you cross the bridge.

Plate armour is the best you can have in the original Fable. It does not matter if it is bright/dark/plain. They all have the same protection. The colours only made your alignment change.

I think it might be the highest number of keys needed for a chest in the game, but it's well worth it. In a way, I think the helmet resembles Nostro's from Lychfield Graveyard a bit, only golden and brighter.

I was simply telling darg that there is in fact a chest that takes more than 25 keys. As he said 25 was the highest amount

The best armor in the game is the armor that looks best to you, since the protection armor provides is almost nonexistant (you should have a shield up while fighting).
So I vote Assassin Tunic + Dark Wizard Hat + any dark legs, hands & feet as best in game.... For that classic Black Mage look, wear a dark lower dress....

nah. dark plate for the evil. I mean evil is the most fun right? right? k'mon skorms bow is awesome.

Crackers, if you don't have Fable TLC, then the platemail is your only choice. Also, there are 3 types of platemail armor. regular plate mail armor, dark platemail armor, and the bright platemail armor. they have the same amount of armor, and only change ur alignment.
P.S, armor only only reduces the chances of getting scratched.

Really the best armor depends on the choice and wear you are. For a place flooded with people like a town you might like an attractive armor that makes people like you but when fighting hordes of undead looks should really be you least concern(unless the zombies are repeled by fashion)
