Whats with that big steel door in silverpines?

There is a large steel double door in the middle of the silverpines woods, and after 3 profiles I still havent found a way to open it. That thing looks too important to be scenery, the area is lit up, and there is a danger sign next to it. It isnt connected to any quest, and I'm scratching my head as to what the hell its for.

It's for the quest that comes with the LCE. If you don't have that, the door does nothing.

I'm more interested in what the huge door at the end of that place who's name escapes me does. The one near the hermit. In Aurora.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't have any significance. Sucks, I know. :/
