where did my citizens go?

hi, im wondering where my people in my game...i dont see any citizens. only guards. i have this problem for the whole week and i cannot interact or buy things frm shop becuase there is no one.... plz i need help why i do not have any civilians.

Did you raise enough money so that your people don't die when the darkness comes?

If it's before then, it's probably a glitch.
