Where will they go from here?
Fable II was set 500 years after the original, and this one is set 50 years after. However, we are in full swing of the Industrial Revolution, therefore Fable can't really change the setting without getting into the Modern Era. So they will either have to stay in this era (I personally loved the Steampunk undertones) or a prequel.
Your ideas?

I honest to God don't have a clue, but hopefully by the time of 4 or 5 Albion has developed nukes. If so then I'm going to bomb the **** out of Albion and let it start over from the ground up.

That's given me an idea.
Maybe someone (Theresa?) will seize control of the spire, and wipe most of Albion, taking it back to it's previous state?

The general consensus is that a prequel around the Old Kingdom time would be good, or around the start of the Guild.

Personally, I'd rather have a prequel, it would allow the franchise to return to the roots of Fable 1.

Hopefully. Also now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind seeing a Fable set in between Fable 1 and 2 before the Fall of the Hero's Guild.

Maybe another descendant again? I really did like the concept of being the son/daughter of your previous hero, and I liked the fact information was actually taken from your last save of them. Maybe it'll be possible for more information to be taken from your old game, like whether you played a good game or a bad game, there could even be statues of the previous hero.

As for time period, I really hope they stick to the steampunk era, that was my favourite part of the game, even if it was only really in Bowerstone Industrial.

I want it to take place around the time a mob burns down the Guild. Since Fable 2 told me about its demise, I've always wanted to play as a Hero during that time. It could be very emotional, and could be a good way to introduce a villain who could be even half as good as Jack of Blades.

I really want to go back to the "Age of Heroes" from the first Fable game. Back when Warriors were a respectable class, Archers were good because they could always be on the move but had to deal with lots of charge up to do decent damage, and Will Users were powerful but restricted by their Mana bars. I'd like to play as a generic Hero who doesn't really have some sort of awesome destiny that he/she must fulfill. Instead I'd like to go on all sorts of harrowing adventures while dealing with other Heroes and guild politics.

Unlike everyone else it seems, I'd prefer the series to continue advancing along in its timeline. As I said in a different thread, I envision the next game taking place in the rough Fable equivalent of the late 1880s or early 1890s. Since the Hero of Brightwall is on the throne, I could easily see a new Guild of Heroes or something similar (Brightwall Academy, anyone?) being founded, and who knows, maybe there are other Heroes out there that have started breeding since then, producing a new generation of people with heroic abilities.
