Which weapon?

So I just won the Red Dragon from the shooting range, but I'm not even sure at the moment if it's better than the pistol I already have.

The Red dragon does 41 damage and has the devastation and lucky charm augments. It's worth 13500 gold.

The pistol I already have is a master clockwork pistol that does 47 damage and has the ghoul and killerwatt augments. It's worth 50400 gold.

Now the Red Dragon shoots and reloads faster, but I'm not sure if it's good enough. Which is the better weapon?

i'll use the red dragon because of its reload speed, not because of its damage, but it really all depends how you play.

Id use the red dragon 2, 'cuz its so fast, in the space of 2 normal shots u can shoot 3 times with the red dragon. but, if you have trouble keeping ur health up change to ur other pistol, it won't be that much worse than the red dragon, and will absorb health from ur enemies.

out of those two, i'd use the red dragon, but if u can find a master clockwork pistol with 3 (or if u have knothole island, 4) i'd use those with ghoul, devastation, and any other augment that looks cool. with ghoul augment, it's VERY VERY hard to die.

Well I don't have knothole isl yet but I've decided to go with the red dragon for now. I've always liked the ghoul augment and I've decided to instead use it on my melee (Master Cleaver).


BTW, just to add: Master Cleaver + Piercing Agony Augment + Ghoul Augment = Pure Rape. The ghoul augment more than makes up for piercing agony's life depletion, and you deal way more damage.
I can't imagine how much damage a 4-augment slot one would be able to dish out.

Although, you would need to attach augments other that the piercing agony for extra damage since 2 of the same augment on one weapon has no extra effect. You'd need to add something like a devastation augment and a lucky charm augment to go with the ghoul and piercing agony.

Well considering how many different augments are added in Knothole Isl, I'm guessing you could dish out almost ludicrous damage.

Here are a few that have caught my attention:

Combat Mastery Augment : You're tough and deadly in combat, and you gain more experience.
It's Not Luck Augment: That's what you tell yourself. You deal extra damage, take less, and find gold on your vanquished foes.
Luck and Life Augment: You drain health from your opponent and transfer it to you while you deal more and take less.
Luck and Skill Augment: You have great skill with the augmented weapon and you deal more and take less.
Positively Charged Augment: You deal electrical damage, increase in weapon damage, and take less in combat.

There are a few more, but these are the ones I'll be going for if I get Knothole.

Combat master augment sounds best to me, at least for a character that doesn't have everything maxed yet.

i find custom weapons alot better than any of the legendary's, apart from daichi (just cause of its speed) and enforcer, but i never play strength or up close, so both dont appeal to me.

As soon as I get the Daichi I'm gonna stop using the RD and go for a custom one instead.
