Who Else Thinks...

...it would be fun if Fable 3 was like KOTOR 1 in the aspect that the ending varies with the choice you can make. For example, if, in Fable 2, instead of killing and fighting Lucien, you could maybe have joined him or something in that respect and ruled the world together, or you could have joined him until he completed the Spire and then killed him if you were evil or in your second run in the game and wanted to know what would happen. Anyone else think that would be cool?

Re: Who Else Thinks...

I would like to see that, like when you get Logan off the throne you can let him live and keep him on as your advisor, or you could kill him, or you could exile him.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

I suppose that would be pretty cool. I'd go for it. When I saw that you said Fable 3 should be like KOTOR, though, I thought you were going to say that it should have turn-based combat. I would have given that idea quite a verbal beating.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

I never played any of the KotOR games but I do like the idea of truly branching storylines which could be radically different depending on your decision(s). The idea of siding with Lucien sounds pretty interesting, in a similar vein to...

the conclusion of Fable: The Lost Chapters when you have the option of giving into Jack's promises of power and adorning his mask

I dunno. The comparison has been made tons of times but if we could get the kind of level of depth with decision making that Oblivion allows then I'd be a very happy bunny.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

Logan put his father in prison to take the throne. i think hed rather die than work for you. yes work for you. if your overpowering him and decide to spare him, y make his authority equal to yours, if youve beaten him. id much rather John Cleese as my butler rather than that back-stabbing prick.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

KotOR were awesome. Thats a good idea and there is really no reason why it shouldnt be choices like that. (Off topic but KotOR 3 comes out late 2010)

Yah, urn-based combat is pretty dumb. KOTOR 1 is awsome. 2 was kinda a disapointment. anyway, KOTOR 3 is coming out for 360, right? I think I read somewhere that it was only gonna be CPU

Re: Who Else Thinks...

KOTOR 3 has been canceled for a long time. If you're referring to The Old Republic, that's something different.

I highly doubt that information was released. Where do you claim to have seen that?

Re: Who Else Thinks...

^wether he imprisonned the father or killed him doesn't make my point any weaker. I was using that as a "injustice" that is done to your Fable 2 character

Re: Who Else Thinks...

But how do you know Logan did something to him or her? He/She could have died of natural causes. We just don't know that information yet.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

Um I haven't been on the forums for a while, could somebody tell me who logan is?

I also like the idea of branching storylines.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

^
^because dying of natural causes is not an "injustice" necro.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

EDIT: Didn't notice second up arrow.

It got canceled!?!? Thats pretty dumb.

Re: Who Else Thinks...

White Knight: Logan is gonna be your evil, tyranical brother in Fable 3

You're not listening to what I'm telling you. We don't even know if Sparrow will really be dead in Fable 3, and if he will be, we have no idea how he will have died. We also don't have any idea what he will be doing or where he will be if he's alive. We don't know if Logan did anything to him like kill him, imprison him, etc. We haven't received any information on his status, so why are you speaking of this 'injustice' as if it is set in stone?

Necro: I think Evan's only saying what he thinks the plotline will be in Fable 3. Besides, I, for one, think that that's something an evil, tyranical king would do, don't you? Kill or imprison his father, the king, in order to hurry his ascension to the throne?

Right, sorry. I haven't found out how to quote 2 diffrent people on one post (if its possible).

Re: Who Else Thinks...

It is set in stone that an injustice happens to your father. PM said it in one of his interviews. Let's say the injustice doesn't involve Logan, he still would not want to work under you after being king of Albion after you've beaten him.

PS. Thanks goatfeasters
