Wii pain

Played a Wii for the first time yesterday and I've really hurt my arm! I was playing baseball - the rules of which I'm still shaky on and don't understand what qualifies as "out" - and I was swinging the bat like the cack-handed person I am...only to yank my arm so far back that I think I broke it or something...

Jessica, however, beat me and my friend at all the Wii Sports games with no problem at all...whilst I had to have a nice sit down and a cup of tea to get over the trauma of not only severely damaging myself for, quite possibly, eternity but also the fact that a 6 year old just kicked my *** at everything.

I suck :lol:

It'll happen. I played bowling for a couple of days and my arms and stuff got sore like I was actually bowling.

It's just so....typical...:lol:

It works very well...she more or less does as she's told. I think the frequent lockings in the cupboard makes all the difference too :lol:

Besides, kids should learn to do as they're damn well told - they've got the rest of their lives to be all "rebellious" so a few years of learning to submit to authority won't harm them :devil:

Wow the thread starts with a discussion on the dangers of using the Wii and ends it methods of child abuse :wacko:

I have a feeling that a lot of people will get similar injuries because of not properly warming up. It's a game not exercise right? Oops

It really is quite a physical console - I knew there was movement involved, but wasn't expecting that much! But it definitely has its benefits for those kids who are too lazy to go outside once in a while and move more than their index fingers...

Despite my agony - I love the Wii. I think it's an amazing console and everyne should have one

Sadly even I don't have one of my own - I was babysitting next door and they had borrowed one off a friend of theirs.

Unless I want to pay over the odds on Ebay for one, I think I'll wait until Christmas is over and they stock them again...

Can you play online with other people with the wii? I'm hard up for getting Smash Brawl when it comes out and I'd love to be able to (eventually, damn dial up) play with others online.

I think you can...my neighbour has no net access but I'm pretty sure you can do online play.
