Wii Wont Recieve Hard Drive

With Nintendo recently revealing they will be bringing more downloadable content to its Nintendo Wii, people are beginning to wonder just where this new content is meant to be stored. The Wii only has a small 512MBs of internal Flash memory, which some people are already coming to their limits with. Surely a hard drive is on the way... but a Nintendo UK correspondent has flat out said 'No' it is not going to happen.

Weird I wonder why. My first thought is that performance suffers when running from a hard drive. Also they put off a lot of heat. Neather is an issue with SD Cards however. This will up the cost of gaming that's for sure.

I guess with the Wii being so cheap they can fool gamers into thinking having to stock up on lots of SD Cards wont matter.

As much as I love them (and I love Nintendo the same way I love relatively freeform RPGs on other systems), Nintendo does a lot of weird stuff. But considering how long they've been around despite often ending up last, they must be doing SOMETHING right. I just have no freaking clue what

I have to say that the Wii is a very cool console, the very concept of it is a "thing the did right", if you ask me. :lol:

I have the sudden urge to say "I'd let the Wii recieve 'my' Hard Drive anyday", or something in those lines. The title spoke to me.
