when you upgrade your player if you can will you be able to do the same with your pet

it should be possible, after all if the hero can do it why not his pet? its all part of advancement and you need a pet strong enough to keep up with you

Well since you have no buttons to control your dog with, I don't see how you'd be able to level him up. Maybe he just gets stronger or something.

I was thinking the same thing. Imagine if you're fighting some powerful monsters and your dog is down for the count in one hit for every battle. That would be lame.

Well since you have no buttons to control your dog with, I don't see how you'd be able to level him up. Maybe he just gets stronger or something.

I like it.

Here's my idea on it

• If you increase Physique the dog does more damage
• If you increase Toughness so does the dog
• If you increase Health so does the dog
• If you increase Speed the dog gets faster
• If you increase Guile the dog is harder to spot by the enemy
• If you increase Accuracy dog finds hidden objects more easily
• If you increase Will the dog becomes more resistant to magical damage

Another thought is what if you could cast a spell on the dog like Berzerk or Physical Shield. Maybe if you cast it on yourself also cast it on the dog

If heard it uses some of Black & Whites creature technology so maybe it changes appearance like it did there, only in Dog form. Knowing Lionhead and fable Ill bet the dogs are customizer friendly like a Pimp-my-dog style or something

Well seeing as your dog can't die.. And he is really mainly there to be your mini map.. I think he might just get alittle stronger so he can help you in battle while still being affective against enemies... Then again, the dog ages like you right?.. So I have given myself another question.. Do you age so much on the game that you die?

Nah that would make players feel rushed to complete the game before you die, which would decrease your ability to enjoy all the little thing that they spent time putting in

Very true.. But it takes some of the realness out of it.. They should have made it to where after you die your son, if you have one, becomes the new you, and you get a new dog and everything you had before gets handed down to him. If you never had a child, then you have to start over.. But some people would feel like they are under pressure to get married.. So.. Ahh.. Whatever.. I still say the dog might get stronger with you, just to keep up a good fighting status in battles.

thats true but maybe the morphing of the dog enhances and givesit abilities.

i agrees with albion knight, i hope at least the health and strength will go up as your to even out the gameplay
which i was thinkin, my uncle would give his dog beer and all that... so that leads me to many hilarious ideas, like possibly you won't be the only one with a hangover... lol

I think the dog will remain static in leveling, because he ends up getting killed

I think it would be great if he leveled to act as either a mirror to your fighting style like if you focus on Skill, he is fast and quiet or leveled so that he would balance out your weaknesses.

Dog levelling is an interesting concept, but I'm goning to guess it starts as a puppy and then grows into an old, scarred and evil dog.
