Win XP - Compatibility Mode by default?

Long story short I run a lot of older games, 98/95-old. They work in XP if I use the corresponding Compatibility Mode but when you turn the game off and/or shut down the PC the game is no longer playable because I have to go around tinkering with the Properties and once again activate Compatibility Mode.

Any of you guys know how to make a program run in Compatibility Mode by default rather than having to re-select it each time?

I don't know if you still having the problem. But are you applying it to the shortcut or the exe?
if you go into your main HD and find the programs exe do it on that then click apply. Thats all i can think of really.

Yeah doing it on the executable.

Doesn't seem to "stick".
