That was available in previous versions too, as far as I am aware. At least, in Windows Live Messenger ones, not Microsoft Windows Messenger (the very old ones). You can just appear as offline.
Yeah, but in the original WLM you could only globally appear offline, and that was it. Plus, while appearing offline your Display Picture wouldn't update, custom emoticons wouldn't work, and you couldn't send files to other people (well, for me anyway).
This small change I find to be more convenient and don't have to block/unblock a bunch of people
one at a time.
I disagree. Last time you used the default emoticon I wanted to add it, because I thought it was yours. But then I noticed I had it too. Only a good, positive thing, right?
 I suppose, but these new ones remind me of Yahoo's emoticons, strange little buggers.
Thanks a fortune. Blast it, that window was damn sure annoying. I believe I saw the option, but I thought they meant the entire contact window by naming it "main window". Thanks nonetheless.
You're welcome, still some other things I don't know how to do on here though, like being able to have a custom background in conversation windows. They took away the background button.

Tell me more about this Youtube sharing thing please
Azer sent me a YouTube link in the convo window, I didn't have the window upfront when he did it and I was greeted by a very large Youtube video that took up 90% of the window. Convenient yet annoying at the same time since it didn't let me decide to accept the "View Together" option the first few times and just did it automatically, but it saves me the trouble of having yet another tab open in my browser.
.. perhaps I'll go and annoy Dark Drakan with it.
