Winning the Blacksmiths favour

In order to get a job, at the Blacksmiths' shop, one has to make him want to hire you. There are certain things you need to do for that. Like get a certain kind of mostache, etc. Any comments on this?

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

Where did you hear this?

I think (well, hope) that it has something to do with your skills with a weapon. Maybe if you impress him with your skills using an axe, he will let you become his apprentice.

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

Ya, know, I've been trying to remember for the past hour, going through interview after interview. When I find it, I'll let you know. As it is I read Peter was talking about the ways to treat future employees. That they won't automatically hire you unless, you can win them over in appearance , hair , face, the way you act. I thought perhaps others had read it, also. :(

Also, I forgot to mention, if you work for him, and maybe go out drinking with him, he might decide to upgrade, your sword, as a favour for being a friend. I read the clip, 3 times, it was so informative. It might have been a clip someone translated from Portugal, or Germany. There have been so many.

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

Just another reason to believe that beer is much more useful than you'd think in Fable; especially if you want to steal or bribe :P

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

I wonder if we'll be able to force him into making you his apprentice for evil characters.
Probably not, but I can dream...

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

I reckon it will be similar to that little Beardy-Baldy sidequest in the Original Fable.

Hmm, I don't know of that quest, only had TLC, was'nt in there as far as I know. Remember the picture, of the 2 guys drinking? Maybe one was the boss?

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

Actually I'm not sure but it could have been in TLC only. Beardy Baldy is the NPC in Bowerstone South Port and will ask you to change your appearance for his "Daughter".

Yeah, I know!:P i can't wait to see what all we can do through getting npcs drunk.;) It'd be kinda hard to please two bosses, I think.

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

I wonder if it has to do with say you physique(sp) i would reckon he'd be twice as inclined to hire you if you looked like you could handle your own weight rather then look like some scrony skinny lil man

Hmm, had'nt thought of that. I don't know how far we morph at that point. I hope to use a lot of magic, so maybe just the clothes and hair, etc. will help.

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

Punched him, huh, had'nt thought of that, since I only play good. But was tempted to, especially when the npcs laughed at my hair.;)

Re: Winning the Blacksmiths favour

First he'll want you to get new styles and clothing then he'll want you to meet his daughter and it will all be a hoax LMAO that would be great.

once I become an asassin I will come back and kill this man
