My chick on fable just dumped me...so i killed her!

have any of you got so mad that you went and killed the whole town and bought all of the town? i did just now and it's now a pretty quiet town. nobody but guards here...sad...

i got loads of renown, money, and mana!

They won't come back if you don't rent out the places you buy. Frankly the peace is worth the loss in rent. However the shop owner won't be there either so there is nothing to buy. Again it's a small price to pay.

My problem came when I rented out just one shop in Snowspire and for some reason, every single NPC respawned in that place and just decided to move back into MY houses...without paying rent. Now, I do understand the whole squatter's rights thingy, but surely they have to have spent more than 30 seconds in a building before claiming them, right?

I do not have the PC version therefore if there is some special mod available then I dunno...but the usual way to get a shop is to murder the shop keeper and then if you have the gold you can purchase it. Rent it out if you like and make some extra gold - just look for the gold house symbol on the building in your mini-map which is the indicator that the building is for sale. Then go up to the wooden signpost outside, select it and buy it.

Sadly you get no buyer's discount but the rent money is not bad...

I wish you got more than rent money from owning a shop or the pub.

You should get a cut of their sales.

Otherwise you pillage the town again.

the shop keep is dead and i own the TOWN!!! ya i know, the squatters... they came back into their houses (like they owned them) and then i killed them 4 tresspassing!!!
