Xbox 360 elite trouble

Last night while playing mirrors edge my xbox 360 suddenly froze went into t.v static and then made a loud buzzing noise from the t.v. Now today I think it's just a problem and I left my xbox off for over 12 hours and I turn it on dont even put a game in and it does it again . Then I discover that the lead from the power-brick to the mains is the tiniest bit loose and do my best to push it back in. Now I dont want to switch the xbox 360 on again if it is damaging it so can someone please tell me, is the slightly loose lead what caused my problem or is it the xbox itself :wub: . It only started yesterday and I clean and look after the xbox 360 so I'm not sure what the problem could be apart from this, any help is deeply appreciated thank you

Sounds like the cable is slightly coming out the socket and causing the picture to go on the TV. Id replace the lead or use a different kind if i was you and see if that helps.

Oh I tried everything then eventually the 360 showed me the problem with 3 big red lights Microsoft can go and jump off a cliff my warranties up and I dont care if fable is an exclusive I wont be buying another after just 1 year :blush: and I guess that means I wont be playing fable anymore either

well had this too after a year just do some stuff with your cables and it will be fixed it worked for me lolxD

Yeah last year my 360 got the red rings - 'the red ring of death' twice.It totally sucked and bumed me out,but it gave me the chance to play my playstation 2(ffvii and ffviii) and xbox original(worms 4 mayhem and fable tlc).I had to wait 2-4 weeks for the first time and 1-3 weeks the second time.

This has really got me down but I have a plan, I'll buy a core system and put my 120g hard drive from my now dead elite inside I will then try the towel trick on said elite and if it works then give it to charity or someone else because at least then someone might be able to repair it and use it themselves

They usually still repair them for free if you get the RROD if warranty is up anyway. Also if you have only had it 1 year then it still has 2 years warranty left.
