According to the warranty company squaretrade Xbox 360 failure rate is 16%.

According to some sources on the web there is about 18 million consoles worldwide.

THat means according to my calculator that there is about 2,880000 Xb360 out there that failed.

I think because it overheats from people playing to much

Well 360 one time where flying of the shelves, Sony had to say Something.

Failure rate is still quite high however in my time ive been through 2 Playstations and 2 Playstation 2's yet still got my 360 running after just over 2 years.
