Xbox Elite gets bid for $5,100 on ebay

Some realy impatient person bid $5,100 US for an Xbox Elite on ebay. The seller bought it from Target which broke the sell date by 10 days on April 19
It was pointed out that the winning bidder doesn't have a very good rating so the final sale prive might go down. There are two bids at $5,000 one of which has been on ebay for 3 to 4 years with a 97% positive rating.

Truly! Someone is either really rich or really stupid.

Oh the Elite will go for $480, not that $80 matters much when you're willing to shell out 5 grand for a system that for the most part has been out for a year and a half. Basically this person is shelling out all that dough for an HDMI interface. Everything else is already available. OK maybe it has the 65nm processor after all. still what where the thinking

The real benefit in my eyes is the value you get for an extra $80

Yeah or theres always that of course, but surely there cant have been many people who would have bidded near that price...
