Xbox Play and Charge kit

I was just wondering if anyone has a play and charge kit for their 360 and, if so, if it's as much of a pain in the arse as mine is.

I was sucked in by the notion that they are fairly simple to use... but I didn't count on it being as indecisive as this. So, I charge the pad whilst playing a game and it remains red for the entire duration (2 -3 hours). only when I turn off the console dose it stay red for a minute, then decide to proclaim itself fully chaged (it affirming this conviction when turning the console back on).

Only this time, it stayed red whilst I was play and, upon turning the console off, remain red. After about an hour and a half, I turned the console back on and THEN it decided to turn green. I DON'T UNDERTAND IT!! It doesn't seem to follow any kind of pattern! I think it just makes it up as it goes along!!

Re: Xbox Play and Charge kit

The battery pack is most likely broken. Before I got my Elite (and with it I had to replace mine with two black packs - I can use standard white packs with a black elite controller! Madness!) my white ones were all crazy, too.

Have you had it for long?

Re: Xbox Play and Charge kit

Since about January. It's always been a little wierd (not once has it turned green whilst acctually playing a game, it waits till the console is off) but it has retained its charge quite well, I do a lot of gaming as well. I'm just still not at all confident with it and this has thrown me a little. I gone and checked it out and it claims to be charged, but it only went green when I turned the console back on to check it...

Then again, my brand new elite itself can never decide whether it's stood up or lying down (the light on the front tends to dance around a lot) so I think all my hardware is a bit mental...
